With 19 years of experience in the mental health field—and over a decade in private practice—I work with adults and elders navigating a wide range of life experiences. This includes anxiety, depression, modern dating, career transitions, mono and CNM relationships, as well as the lasting impacts of childhood and religious trauma. My approach is collaborative, curious, and rooted in the belief that lasting change comes from a deeper understanding of yourself. We usually begin by learning and practicing core self-observation skills—ways of noticing your thoughts and emotions that are often brand new, yet quickly become essential tools for navigating life. Along the way, we explore values, identity, and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you come in. What’s most helpful is showing up with an experimental attitude and a splash of bravery. Together, we’ll take an honest look at what’s working, what isn’t, and what’s possible when you begin approaching yourself with more clarity and compassion.
“Michael’s style is really active and collaborative—he doesn’t just sit back and nod. He helped me get to where I wanted to be, and I felt supported every step of the way. It also meant a lot to work with someone who understands me.”
Finding the right fit is important. Based on reflect’s experience matching thousands of clients, this is our assessment of Michael’s therapeutic style. Keep in mind, therapists can adapt their style to your specific needs.
Mental health should be accessible, but therapy can be expensive. That’s why reflect has negotiated with Michael to provide their private pay services at a discount – up to 50% less than their typical rates on other platforms.
